What My Seven-Year-Old Self Knew All Along

If you had asked me at seven years old what I wanted to be when I grew up, the answer was always the same: an author. Back then, it felt simple. I had my messy notebooks, a big imagination, and stories that felt as real as the world around me. But as I got older, ‘life’ started to happen. That childhood spark didn’t go out, but it definitely got pushed to the back burner while I focused on everything else. For a long time, writing was my ‘someday’ plan, the thing I’d get to when the timing was finally perfect.

I eventually realised that the ‘perfect time’ doesn’t exist. You have to create it.

Transitioning from a dreamer to a published Indie Author has been my own personal New Beginning. It hasn’t been a polished, perfect process; it’s been a journey of late nights, steep learning curves, and finally finding the courage to share my voice with the world.

Today, I’m proof that those childhood dreams are more than just kid stuff, they are the blueprints for who we are meant to be. I’m finally doing what that seven-year-old girl always knew I was capable of, and I am so glad you’re here to be a part of the next chapter.
